Miletus Museum in Didim

If you want to examine the history of Didim more closely, you can visit the Miletus Museum located in the Ancient City of Milet in Balat District.

The museum, where historical artifacts unearthed from the excavations of Miletus Ancient City are exhibited, was opened in 1973, but had to be closed due to concerns about life and property safety.

Miletus Museum, which has started to serve in its new place since 2011, consists of two parts. The works exhibited both indoors and in the museum garden are worth seeing.

While inscriptions, sarcophagi and column capitals are exhibited in the garden of Miletus Museum, there are Miletus Ancient City, Priene Ancient City and Apollon Temple finds in the museum.

Coins from different periods, terracotta items and ornaments are among the valuable items you can see in the museum. You can visit between 08.00 – 19.00 between April 15 and October 2, and between 8.00 – 17.00 between 3 October – 14 April.

If you have a Müzekart, the museum, which you can enter for free, is closed on Mondays.
