The 3 best amusement parks 2022 in Germany

The amusement parks in Germany started the new season punctually with the beginning of spring. In line with this, the travel portal Travelcircus has once again created a ranking of the best amusement parks in the country based on various categories.

For the ranking, Travelcircus compared a total of 44 German amusement parks in various categories. These include the admission prices, the price-performance ratio, the Google rating by visitors, the average search volume over the last 24 months and the fun factor for different age groups. The best-case scenario was 5 points per factor. An amusement park could therefore achieve a maximum of 25 points if it achieved full points in all categories.

The 3 best amusement parks in the ranking

1st place: Europa Park, Rust

It was and remains the lone leader in Germany, and that in several rankings: Europa-Park in Rust not only takes first place in the Travelers’ Choice Awards from Tripadvisor and the Travelcircus ranking presented here, but last year was also Voted by TRAVELBOOK readers as one of the top amusement parks in Germany.

Several million people come to Europa-Park in the border triangle of Germany, France and Switzerland every year. The amusement park, which opened on July 12, 1975, offers more than 100 attractions, and the range is constantly being expanded. In the Travelcircus ranking, Europa-Park scored a total of 24.46 out of a possible 25 points, making it the best and most popular amusement park in Germany.

2nd place: Hansa Park, Sierksdorf

Hansa-Park in Schleswig-Holstein rose from 5th to 2nd place this year. From the bear’s cave to the Crazy Mine roller coaster to the space scooter, the Hansapark not far from the Baltic Sea has something to offer for every taste. The park performs particularly well in terms of visitor ratings and value for money.

3rd place: Heide Park, Soltau

In the previous year, Heide Park also came third in the Travelcircus ranking 2022. Like all roller coasters in Heide Park, the mighty wooden roller coaster “Colossos”, which reopened in 2019, provides plenty of adrenaline rushes. But even the youngest get their money’s worth in the amusement park. Number of points achieved: 21.30 out of 25.
