Tripadvisor ranking: The 25 best hotels in the world
Every year, Tripadvisor honors the best hotels in the world with the Travellers’ Choice Awards.
There are millions of hotels in all categories and price ranges worldwide. But which ones are the best? The tourism website Tripadvisor has again published a ranking of the best hotels in the world this year. The basis is formed by the ratings of the users of the Tripadvisor community.
A hotel in India, the Rambagh Palace in the city of Jaipur, took first place in this year’s Travelers’ Choice Awards. Second place goes to the Ozen Reserve Bolifushi in the Maldives. The Hotel Colline de France in Gramado, Brazil, secured third place. A hotel in Europe took fourth place: the Shangri-La The Shard in London.

Almost every guest who reviewed the Rambagh Palace in the Indian city of Jaipur on Tripadvisor left a eulogy: “Great service and hospitality. […] Great food and concept, a must when you are in Jaipur,” writes one user. Another said: “The staff is very cooperative and helpful. Definitely worth a visit for a royal yet homey experience.” And a third writes: “A magnificent spectacle that everyone must see at least once in their lifetime. From the moment you arrive to the moment you check out, the humble and respectful team will do their utmost to make your stay unforgettable.”
The Rambagh Palace in Jaipur is part of the Asian hotel group Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces with more than 119 hotels in 61 locations in India and a further 17 hotels in the Maldives, Malaysia, Great Britain, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Africa, the Middle East and the UNITED STATES.

The World’s Best Hotels in the Travellers’ Choice Awards are determined based on the number of outstanding reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. “Each winner has met our strict trust and safety standards,” writes Tripadvisor. Less than one percent of Tripadvisor’s eight million listings are recognized as “Best of the Best,” meaning “the highest level of excellence in the hospitality industry.”
